Catlins Coast Itinerary
There are as few ways you can jump on and off but a typical journey start s and finishes in Dunedin. Here is how it works:
Dunedin to Invercargill
Quick trip darting across the bottom bit of Otago and Southland to get to Invercargill.
Invercargill, the Catlins Dunedin
Now we are off in the direction of Antarctica!
First scenic stop for the day is Curio Bay. Pretty much at the bottom of New Zealand and a true gem of a place. New Zealand’s native Hectors Dolphin, Yellow Eyed Penguins and a 180 million year old fossilised forest all call Curio Bay home.
We then head towards the Catlins Coastal Rain Forest, taking in some wicked beach views, bush walks and waterfalls including Surat Bay or Cannibal Bay, both home to NZ Sea Lions.
Nugget Point, home of seabirds, fur seals and stunning coastal vistas.
Final stop is Dunedin for the evening at completion of this huge day.
Regular departures in summer on demand for 4 or more in winter.
